WILMINGTON, NC - The University of North Carolina Wilmington Cameron School of Business in conjunction with the Division for Public Service and Continuing Studies is pleased to offer the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) series for insurance professionals working toward this designation. Sponsored by The American Institute for CPCU and the Insurance Institute of America, the foundation series consists of five courses with commercial or personal concentrations consisting of an additional three courses per selected track.

Each course lasts 15 weeks and will meet on Tuesdays, beginning August 22, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuition is $295 and is payable to UNCW. Course materials cost $169 and can be ordered directly from the American Institute for CPCU at www.aicpcu.org or at 1-800-644-2101.

The instructor for the series will be Wes Huggins, CPCU, CIC, ARM, AAI. Huggins currently serves as COO/CFO for Walker Taylor Agency. His responsibilities include automation, operations, financial reporting, and education. He is certified by the N.C. Department of Insurance as an instructor in property and casualty insurance, has taught a variety of commercial lines, E&O, and best practices courses on behalf of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, Inc. (IIANC) and currently teaches the CISR commercial property and commercial casualty courses for IIANC. Huggins earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Wake Forest University and holds the CPCU, CIC, ARM and AAI designations. He is currently enrolled in the Certified Risk Manager program offered by the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research which leads to the CRM designation.

This series is targeted to insurance claim adjustors, underwriters, risk managers, brokers, agents, regulators, and consultants as well as accountants, attorneys and educators.
