Wilmington, N.C. - September 1, 2006 2:00 a.m. - Tropical Storm Ernesto has passed the Wilmington area and there is very little damage on campus and around the region. UNCW has delayed its opening for all faculty, staff and students until 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2006. Only essential personnel should report before 10:00 a.m. The university will officially reopen, and classes are scheduled to resume, at 10:00 a.m. Many roads in the region were flooded overnight, so everyone is urged to use caution while driving.
