Heritage School Closing Ceremony is Nov. 4

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- The closing ceremony for Heritage School '06, hosted by the Upperman African American Cultural Center, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 4 in the Warwick Center Ballroom, on the campus of UNC Wilmington. A reception will follow ceremony.The 12th annual Heritage School featured activities that explored African American heritage and culture, centered on the theme Kujichagulia or self-determination, the second principle of Kwanzaa.
Closing ceremonies will feature Heritage School students, ages 4 to 14, UNCW Voices of Praise Gospel Choir and Judge Phyllis Gorham as guest speaker.
