RE: Cancellation of regularly scheduled meeting of UNCW Board of Trustees

Business Affairs Committee will meet Thursday, Jan. 25

The regular quarterly full board meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina Wilmington as well as all committee meetings except for Business Affairs have been cancelled for Jan. 2007. This is due to the scheduling of a UNC Conference on Trusteeship in Greensboro Feb. 7 and 8, which will involve trustees from all UNC campuses.

The Business Affairs Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 25, in Alderman Hall, Room 215, to hear a status report regarding the Alliance for a Regional Concert Hall (ARCH) and to consider property issues. The discussion of property issues will be conducted in closed session, as allowed under the Open Meeting Act, to establish or instruct the staff or agent concerning the negotiation of the price and terms of a contract concerning the acquisition of real property [N.C.G.S. & 143-318.11(a)(5)].
