From Computers to Sofas, the UNCW Public Surplus Store Features Bargains Galore

Tuesday, March 06, 2007

Whether you're looking to furnish an office on a budget, in the market for a computer or just hankering for a bargain, the University of North Carolina Wilmington Surplus Store is a great solution. The store will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the Warehouse Extension on Plyler Drive. Parking will be available street side and in the parking lot located behind the University Police station.

Although items in the Surplus Store will vary, the types of items available this month include student study carrels, dorm style dressers, computers, monitors, loveseats, tables, chairs, desks, bunk beds, headboards, stacking chairs and more. And, while you never know what you may find at the UNCW Surplus Store, you always know you can get it for $100 or less.

UNCW Surplus Store sales are open to the general public for cash sales only. No checks or credit cards are accepted. Items are sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties. The university cannot deliver items sold and all goods purchased must be taken away from the warehouse by 3:30 p.m. on the day of the sale. Loading help will be minimal for this sale and will require a liability release from the customer before assistance is given.

Sales are generally held the third Friday of each month. For more information, contact the university at 910.962.7776.
