Comedian Demetri Martin to Perform April 25 at UNC Wilmington

New York City comedian Demetri Martin will perform on April 25 in Kenan Auditorium on the campus of University of North Carolina Wilmington. Doors open at 8 p.m. and show starts at 9 p.m. His appearance is being sponsored by the UNCW Association for Campus Entertainment (ACE).

The official Trendspotter on The Daily Show with John Stewart, Martin has performed on The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Call with Carson Daly and Comedy Central Presents Demetri Martin.

Martin won awards for his one-man shows at comedy festivals such as the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival, The Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, The Aspen Comedy Festival and The Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Also a screenwriter, he is writing scripts for Dreamworks, Sony and a Thousand Words. He will act in each of these films.

This fall, Martin will tour America in support of his upcoming CD/DVD, These Are Jokes. He will also publish a book of drawings, These Are Drawings. He will tape a one-hour special at the end of the tour to premiere on Comedy Central later this year.

Tickets are $10 for students with a valid UNCW ID, $15 for Faculty/Staff and $20 for general public.

The UNCW Association for Campus Entertainment is a student organization that seeks to coordinate various programs that promote opportunities for educational, social, and cultural growth for students and the campus community throughout the year.
