Wilmington, N.C. - University of North Carolina Wilmington will hold its 73rd commencement exercises on Saturday, May 12 in Trask Coliseum. The ceremony for graduate students and those in the professional schools (Cameron School of Business, School of Nursing and Watson School of Education) will begin at 9:30 a.m. and undergraduates in the College of Arts and Sciences will walk at 2 p.m. An estimated 1,487 undergraduate and 216 graduate students are slated to receive degrees.

Community volunteers are needed for both ceremonies. Duties include passing out programs, directing guests, taking tickets and ushering. Please contact Eric Tack, UNCW Office of Transition Programs, at tacke@uncw.edu if interested.

Each ceremony will be broadcast live in its entirety by UNCW Television over the Learning Network on Time Warner Cable channel 5 and Charter Cable 12. Rebroadcasts will be scheduled and aired at a later date. The UNCW Information Technology Systems Division and UNCW-TV are providing a live web cast of commencement. A link to the web cast will be available from the UNCW homepage (www.uncw.edu) and the commencement Web site (www.uncw.edu/commencement) during both graduation ceremonies.
