15th Annual Intercultural Week and Festival

The University of North Carolina Wilmington Office of International Programs and UNCW Presents will host the 15th Annual Intercultural Week and Festival, Feb. 11-16.

A full schedule of events has been planned to celebrate the rich diversity of cultures found within UNCW and the Wilmington community. Lectures, films, dancing, music, performances, and food provide opportunities for all ages to get involved throughout the week. Events are free unless otherwise noted.

The week culminates on Saturday, Feb. 16 with the Intercultural Festival. Music, dance, traditional clothing, and exhibits representing countries from around the world will be on display from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Warwick Center. Attendance is free; food items will be for sale. A list of scheduled performances is below:

Groups sponsoring display booths at the festival include: Italian Heritage Society, Cape Fear Foreign Language Collaborative, Wilmington Sister City Commission, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Scottish Society of Wilmington, Coastal Carolina Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, Coastal Carolina Chapter United Nations Association, Wilmington Chinese-American Cultural Association, Caribbean Socialites, Ancient Order of Hibernians, UNCW International Student Organization, UNCW French Club, UNCW Spanish Club, UNCW Brazilian Club, UNCW Japanese Class and student and faculty sponsored booths representing various countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Israel, Chile, Thailand, Netherlands, and more.
