University of North Carolina Wilmington Professional Education will help leaders learn "How to Build and Lead a Team" Thursday, Feb. 26, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

The first of 10 workshops offered in the Navigating Leadership series, this seminar which recently received approval to qualify for six re-certification credit hours from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). New and existing managers of all backgrounds will learn how to harness different talents and perspectives in producing ideas and solving problems.

Workshops topics include how to recruit and hire the best people, build relationships, assign roles and negotiate responsibilities. Kay Robinson, SPHR, of RSM McGladrey and David Weber, Ph.D., UNC Wilmington Department of Communication Studies, will share their a breadth of expertise.
