Students Line Up for Careers at UNC Wilmington Job Fair Feb. 25

As unemployment numbers continue to climb, the University of North Carolina Wilmington is bringing employers to the doorstep of students with its spring Internship & Job Fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 in the Burney Center.Hosted by the UNC Wilmington Career Center, the event is expected to draw more than 500 students vying for the attention of nearly 50 employers.
The UNCW Career Center has increased its extensive services to combat the 2009 economy in which the unemployment of young bachelor's degree holders is expected to rise from 3.4 to 4.1 percent. UNCW career counselors work diligently to place students iand alumni in professional positions by providing resume clinics, interviewing consultations, workshops, internship and job fairs, and other services.
Media are invited to capture visual and interview opportunities at the fair upon request. Students will be lined up in professional dress with resumes in hand.
