UNC WIlmington Presents Business Week 2009

The University of North Carolina Wilmington's Cameron School of Business presents its annual Business Week on March 24 and 25. This year there will be more than 70 sessions where prominent alumni and executives share their experiences of business, government and other industries for Cameron School of Business students. The sessions range from "Image is Everything: The Power of PR & Marketing" to the relevant recession times, "Navigating a Career in HR in Turbulent Times."

On March 24 at 11 a.m., Business Week's keynote speaker, Brett Martin, will speak on "The Challenges of Entrepreneurship" in Cameron Hall, room 105. Martin is the founder and CEO of Castle Branch, Inc. a leading data services provider. The company includes several information research subsidiaries in healthcare, advertising and the legal profession. Prior to founding Castle Branch, Brett worked as a political campaign consultant in the United States and Eastern Europe. He proudly serves on the Entrepreneurship Advisory Board of the Cameron School of Business.

Other events for the week include a Cameron School of Business alumni and retired faculty mixer at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25 to present David Finch, Tom Oxenfeld and Tim Duncan the "Alums of the Year" award. .

The aim of Business Week is to provide students with exposure to the vast array of professional opportunities and to prepare them for their next step in their professional careers while engaging the regional business community. This year's conference is supported by more than 100 student volunteers and several corporate sponsors including the lead sponsor, BB&T.
