14th Annual Earl Allen Memorial Golf Tournament to be Held April 28 at UNC Wilmington

The University of North Carolina Wilmington Department of Health and Applied Human Sciences is hosting the 14th Annual Earl Allen Memorial Golf Tournament Tuesday, April 28 at Castle Bay Golf & Country Club in Hampstead.

The event will support the Earl Allen Scholarship, which is awarded each year to a rising senior student majoring in physical education, with a concentration in teacher certification or exercise science, who has a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.

Registration will be at noon, followed by tee-off with Shotgun Start/Captain's Choice to follow at 1 p.m.

FIELD:
First 120 players to register (30 teams of four)

ENTRY FEE:
$80 per player includes cart and greens fees, complimentary range balls, lunch, dinner, soda and water

SPECIAL EVENTS:
"Closest to the Hole" on All Par 3s, "Longest Drive" and a putting contest

DRESS CODE:
Proper golf attire required at all times. Please wear sport shirts, golf shirts or turtlenecks. All shirts must have a collar. Bermuda or mid-length shorts or knickers permitted. SOFT SPIKES ONLY!

Dr. Earl Allen's service to UNC Wilmington spanned more than 30 years. His contributions to the Department of Health and Applied Human Sciences, including the establishment of the exercise physiology lab, were essential in the growth and development of the exercise science program.
