UNC Wilmington Entrepreneurship Center hosts "Rocket Pitch" Event on April 29

Six emerging startup companies in Southeastern North Carolina will "pitch" their companies and growth strategies at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29 at the Bluewater Grille at Wrightsville Beach. The purpose of the event is to highlight cutting edge technologies and local high-growth companies by bringing together area experienced and margining entrepreneurs, business leaders and key support providers. The companies include Opterex, GeniSys Networks, Arrowhead Energy, MobileEd LLC, Global Test Supply and Virtual Law Office.

This is the second event hosted by the newly launched Entrepreneurship Center at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The mission of the UNCW Entrepreneurship Center is to be a catalyst for entrepreneurial growth in Southeastern North Carolina by bringing together emerging and high-growth ventures, entrepreneurs and relevant support organizations to create business growth, jobs and innovation. The center is also directly linked to the Cape Fear Futures Project through the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce.
