UNC Wilmington's Youth Entrepreneurship Program Offers Fun Learning Experience in Business for Ages 12-16

Area youth between the ages of 12-16 are invited to participate in the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) at UNC Wilmington from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 15-19, 2009. Classes meet on the UNCW campus. Students will work with UNCW faculty, regional business professionals and former corporate executives to learn how to:
· Manage personal finances
· Develop business skills utilizing electronic commerce
· Participate in stock market investments
· Target business opportunities
· Establish partnerships in business ventures
Cost for the camp is $35. Registration deadline is Friday, June 5. The program is sponsored by the UNCW Cameron School of Business, the Daniels Company, Black Pages USA, 100 Black Men of Coastal North Carolina, the UNCW Upperman African American Cultural Center and the UNCW Office of Academic Success Initiatives.
