Farmers' Market at UNCW to Showcase Local Farmers and Vendors - Rain or Shine

Farmers and vendors from across North Carolina will transform the front of the University of North Carolina Wilmington's Wagoner Dining Hall into a farmers' market as part of the university's No Impact Week. In the case of rain, event will be moved inside Wagoner Dining Hall. The public is welcomed.

When: 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29 (best visual opps 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.)

Where: Wagoner Dining Hall at UNCW

What: In support of environmental sustainability and local famers and vendors, UNC Wilmington has organized a campus farmers' market. A variety of homegrown foods and products will be showcased and sold. Local non-profits and UNCW groups will promote environmental and social sustainability.

A lunch menu of locally developed food will be served inside the dining hall. Menu items will include farm-raised tilapia, smoked turkey quesadillas and eggplant ratatouille.
