Health Department and UNCW Nursing Students to team up for Brunswick Health Fair TOMORROW

The Brunswick County Health Department, with the help of University of North Carolina Wilmington nursing students, will hold a Health Fair for the underserved in Brunswick County from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, September 18 and 19.

This event will be at the Brunswick County Health Department, Building A, 25 Courthouse Drive, NE Bolivia, 28422.

The fair is open to the public. The underinsured or uninsured are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Health services at the fair include adult and child physical exams, dental exams, cholesterol and glucose tests, vision and hearing tests, and blood pressure measurements. Free dental sealants and mammograms will be available by appointment. Contact Marianne (910-253-2309) for mammogram appointments and Jennifer (910-253-2350) for dental sealant appointments.

UNC Wilmington School of Nursing students will be working hand-on with diverse, underserved populations at the fair as part of their community health clinical rotation.
