Tropical Storm Warning for UNCW Lifted: Classes and Facilities Back On Schedule Today

Posted at 9 a.m. EST on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010: The Tropical Storm Warning for the Wilmington area due to Hurricane Earl has ended. UNCW experienced no damage from the storm.
This morning (Friday), all UNCW main campus and Onslow Extension classes have returned to their normal schedule and all campus facilities have resumed normal hours of operation.
Continue to take caution when swimming at local beaches. The previous surf advisory related to Hurricane Earl has ended but rip current warnings for local beaches will not expire until Friday evening. For more information: http://www.uncw.edu/ba/safety/RipCurrents.html.
