The need for more teachers in the ever-growing Leland area is being answered by a new partnership between the University of North Carolina Wilmington and Brunswick Community College.

A press conference announcing the partnership at the BCC Leland Center will include demonstrations of distance education technology and interview opportunities with college leaders and students whose commutes and lives will be made easier by the new classes and resources.

The collaboration is designed to provide a more convenient 4-year college degree option for students in southeastern North Carolina. The new Leland partnership location offer bachelor's and master's level degrees in education, with plans to expand to degree offerings to several different fields.
