The community is invited to salute our troops during the University of North Carolina Wilmington's annual Veterans Day Ceremony outside at the beautiful Commons Amphitheater from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11. This memorable morning of support and admiration will include remarks from Seahawk student veterans, faculty and staff. Members of the public are invited to take part in honoring our student veterans as they share their personal stories.

Bill Ayers, a faculty member of the UNCW Department of Social Work, will be the keynote speaker. In the case of rain, the event will be held in the Warwick Center. Media are welcomed to gain interviews with veterans at the event.
