Seahawks from around the world will paint the town teal during the University of North Carolina Wilmington Alumni Association's Homecoming 2011 on Saturday, Feb. 19. UNCW alumni, friends, fans and families are invited to come back to campus to enjoy alumni reunions, the TEALgate pregame party, the Alumni Homecoming Celebration, take classes and tours, and participate in other spirited events.

Details are below. Media are welcome to cover homecoming events by request, but they will not be served refreshments at paid events. Saturday, Feb. 19:

Tealin' Like a Student: Soaring Back to School Open House, 1:30 -4 p.m., various locations:

Alumni and the public are invited to be a student for a day (adult and children's programming available) and get a glimpse of the lives of current UNCW students by attending one of 30 class offerings or touring a new building during this unique open house event. Check in at the Nursing Building, located near the parking deck and the Watson School of Education. Make an afternoon of it with the whole family! Classes are FREE but space is limited, so early registration is encouraged at .www.uncw.edu/homecoming

TEALgate pregame party - 4:30 p.m., tent outside Trask Coliseum:

This celebration before the men's basketball game is open to all alumni and friends. Advance tickets including all you can eat, beverages and basketball game admission are $25 per adult, $15 ages 3-12, and free for 2 and under. TEALgate admission-only tickets, are $15 per adult, $5 ages 3-12 and free for 2 and under. TEALgate packages are available at www.uncw.edu/homecoming or by calling 1.800.596.2880. A limited number of TEALgate tickets will be available at the door for an increased fee by cash or check only. 2011 Alumni Homecoming Celebration, following the men's basketball game, Burney Center:

This free event is open to all alumni and their families, but attendees are required to register online for complimentary tickets. Food, refreshments and live entertainment will be included. The men's basketball game will begin at 7 p.m.
