Visiting Writer Paul Lisicky to Read at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, April 4

Acclaimed writer Paul Lisicky will read from his work at 7 p.m., Monday, April 4, in Kenan Hall 1111 at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Lisicky is the author of a novel, Lawnboy, and a memoir, Famous Builder. His second novel, The Burning House, is forthcoming from Etruscan Press later this year; Unbuilt Projects, a collection of short prose, will be published by Four Way Books in fall 2012. Lisicky's work has appeared in journals including the Iowa Review, StoryQuarterly and Five Points, and he has taught in the graduate writing programs at Cornell, Rutgers-Newark, Sarah Lawrence, Antioch University Los Angeles and NYU. He is currently a visiting writer in the Department of Creative Writing at UNCW, and he will serve as the New Voices Visiting Writer at Rutgers-Camden during the 2011-12 academic year.

The reading is free and open to the public. A reception sponsored by the department and a book signing sponsored by Pomegranate Books will follow.
