15th Annual N.C. Coastal Entrepreneur Awards at UNCW Honors Economic Engines

Ten economy-boosting local business owners will be celebrated at the 15th annual Coastal Entrepreneur Awards 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 20 at the University of North Carolina Wilmington Burney Center. More than 300 business leaders will come together to honor entrepreneurs in southeastern North Carolina business who are helping revitalize the regional economy with their innovative businesses.
Nominated companies range from rainwater harvesters to a non-profit focused on helping ex-offenders retain healthy lives.
Awards will be given for 11 categories. All category winners, including Glide Bikes, Manufacturing Methods, WellCare, Cape Fear Rainwater Solutions, Advanced Maintenance, LINC, Efficient Energy America, Frank Deals, Flow Sciences and Custom Fit Meals, are nominated for the coveted Coastal Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Winners and Jonathan Rowe, director of the UNC Wilmington Entrepreneurship Center, are available for interviews prior to the event. Event registration is still open at http://uncwec.org.
The Coastal Entrepreneur Awards are hosted by the UNCW Cameron School of Business in partnership with the Greater Wilmington Business Journal. The UNCW Entrepreneurship Center helps southeastern N.C. attract and nurture emerging and high-growth ventures, entrepreneurs and organizations supporting the local economy.
