Cape Fear Camera Club Exhibit Begins with June 7 Reception at UNC Wilmington's Cultural Arts Building Gallery

"Capturing the Light: Photography by Cape Fear Camera Club," opens with a free public reception from 5:30 to7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7 in the Art Gallery of the Cultural Arts Building at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The exhibit features art work by 29 members of the Cape Fear Camera Club.

Works in the exhibit present different kinds of lighting situations, a variety of subject matter and a range of technical approaches to lighting challenges in photography.

The exhibit will be open Monday through Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. throughout the summer until Aug. 10.

The Cape Fear Camera Club has been in existence since 1987 and has more than one hundred members. The club is open to members of all skill levels and offers educational workshops, field trips, monthly speakers, competitions and a website and newsletter for its members.
