The Board of Governors for the University of North Carolina System is expected to elect a new chancellor for UNC Wilmington tomorrow (May 3) during a special meeting to be held on the campus of UNCW. The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. in Room 162 of the Education Building. The election is the only item on the agenda, and it is expected that the candidate will be in attendance to make remarks to the Board of Governors and campus community.

Pending election by the Board of Governors, the candidate has agreed to meet with reporters immediately following the board meeting. A press conference will begin at approximately 2:45 p.m. in Room 162. Biographical information, a prepared release and related materials will be available.
