UNCW is currently monitoring Tropical System Emily, which could possibly impact the Cape Fear Area. UNCW is in the “cone of uncertainty” for this system and, while not in the projected path at this time, the university and surrounding areas could experience impacts from Emily in the timeframe of Sunday or Monday. As a precaution, students and employees are encouraged to review storm safety procedures.
