Students at the University of North Carolina Wilmington will join the UNCW Surfrider group for a morning of cleaning the beach, music, food and a free raffle.

The annual UNC Wilmington Fall Beach Sweep will be held at Carolina Beach Boardwalk from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 24. The surrounding community is encouraged to help with the cleanup of Carolina Beach.

The event is one of several bimonthly UNCW Seahawk Surge service opportunities for students. Each unique Surge is chosen and organized by student leaders and facilitated by the UNCW Center for Leadership Education and Service (CLES) office.
