Be a Student for a Day at UNC Wilmington's College Day on Nov. 12

Individuals in the community can be a student for a day at the 10th annual University of North Carolina Wilmington College Day 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 12, 2011 in the Warwick Center. Classes from every discipline in the College of Arts and Sciences will be offered, including history, communication studies, creative writing, philosophy and religion, music, science and psychology.
Registration is $35 for Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) members and is $45 for non-members. Breakfast, lunch and four classes taught by UNC Wilmington faculty will be included. Attendees will also meet UNCW's new Chancellor Gary L. Miller.
"We look forward to hosting College Day every year as an opportunity for community engagement as southeastern North Carolina's public university and to provide a wide range of education and cultural initiatives for lifelong learners," says OLLI director Shelley Morse.
OLLI provides innovative adult education for those 50 and older to promote continued intellectual and social growth for diverse audiences. UNCW's OLLI is one of 117 institutes supported by the Bernard Osher Foundation.
