UNC Wilmington Alumni Are Invited Back Home For the Annual Family and Alumni Weekend, Sept. 21-22

This fun-filled weekend will bring UNC Wilmington alumni, students, families and friends together to reminisce about their college years and get a taste of today's campus life. During events such as alumni reunions, concerts, tours and the Seahawk Extreme Adventure Challenge, Seahawks of all ages will reunite with old friends and make new ones.
Friday, Sept. 21:
Check-In for Students and Parents
Get Family and Alumni Weekend tickets, nametags, program books and more during check-in, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Azalea Coast Room, Fisher University Union.
Music Department Alumni Concert and Reception - 7:30 p.m., in the Cultural Arts Building
All are invited for an evening of music featuring UNCW alumni, Ellen Parish '11, Jon Lauterer '04 and Shaun Mahoney '05. A dessert reception in the grand lobby will immediately follow. Tickets are free for students with a valid UNCW ID and are $10 for general admission.
Saturday, Sept. 22:
Check-In for Students and Parents
Get Family and Alumni Weekend tickets, nametags, program books and more during check-in, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Azalea Coast Room, Fisher University Union.
Golden Wing Society Reunion - 10:30 a.m., Madeline Suite
Wilmington College classmates from the classes of 1947-62 are invited for a complimentary brunch followed by a trolley tour of UNCW's campus guided by Student Ambassadors.
Family Picnic - 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Campus Commons
Join the Seahawk family for a day of fun, food, and photos with Sammy Seahawk! Limited amount of tickets are available on-site. General tickets are $12 each; tickets for children ages 10 and under are $5 each.
UNCW Alumni Day at the Beach - 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Wrightsville Beach
Alumni are invited to bring their friends and family for a fun day at Wrightsville Beach, access 36 near Crystal Pier. A complimentary trolley to the beach will be available for all attendees who preregister. The Alumni Association will provide complimentary snacks, refreshments, beach games and live music from Sai Collins. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite T-shirt from their school days and enter to win a prize for the best vintage UNCW T-shirt.
Legacy Pinning Ceremony - 4-5 p.m., Burney Center
Students who have a parent, grandparent or sibling that attends or has attended UNCW are invited to commemorate making UNCW a family tradition at a pinning ceremony. Complimentary family pictures will be taken prior to the ceremony, and snacks and refreshments will be provided after the ceremony.
