Local issues of poverty and how to address them will be discussed at the second annual UNCW "Taking the Pulse on Poverty in Our Region" conference (PDF), being held from 7 to 9 p.m. on March 25 in Cameron Hall Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Campus co-sponsors are:

  • Department of Public and International Affairs
  • Department of Sociology and Criminology
  • Watson College of Education

A short film, “Ain't I a Person,” will be shown, followed by panel discussion moderated by Earl Sheridan, chair of public and international affairs.
