Music Dept Jazzes Up Summer at UNCW

The UNCW Department of Music announces two exciting summer jazz concerts.

The Summer Jazz Faculty Concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17. As part of UNCW's annual summer jazz workshop for high school jazz students, the jazz faculty and special guests perform in concert for the workshop students and public. Directed by Frank Bongiorno, program includes selections such as "Summertime," "Giant Steps," "Blue Monk," and more.

Tickets are $5 for the general public and free to students with valid UNCW ID.  The box office in the Cultural Arts building opens one hour prior to performance.

On Friday, July 19, join the department for the Summer Jazz Workshop Concert at 7:30 p.m.  The concluding concert for the Summer Jazz Workshop Concert is also directed by Bongiorno. See (and hear!) North Carolina’s finest middle and high school jazz students for free.
