Warwick Center Exhibit Showcases Work of UNCW Graduate with Street Children in Uganda

The UNCW Association for Campus Entertainment (ACE) and College of Health and Human Sciences are co-sponsoring Art and Advocacy: Street Children Have a Voice, a Warwick Center Lobby Gallery exhibit, Sept. 12-Oct. 18.

Documentary photographer, multimedia storyteller and UNCW alumna Lisa Marie Albert brings the experiences of street children in Lira, Uganda and her work with them to life in her photos, illustrations and stories. Utilizing PhotoVoice, also known as participatory photography, children use visual elements to tell their stories of life on the street.

Join the artist at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12 for a talk in Warwick Center Ballroom 4.  A reception will follow in the Warwick Center Lobby Gallery from 5:30-7 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
