Visitor Parking Lot F and Visitor Information BoothFree Visitor Parking in Lot F
UNCW offers free visitor parking in parking lot F (located just off Wagoner Drive between Alderman Hall and Westside Hall). We encourage all visitors to begin their visit at the visitor information booth located at the entrance to Lot F so they can be informed of their parking options and be directed to the preferred parking area by our helpful attendant and thus avoid the unwelcome experience of being ticketed for parking incorrectly.

Other Visitor Parking
Additional visitor parking is available throughout campus by using a parking meter or by purchasing a parking pass. Parking spaces for visitors are outlined by teal lines and identified by appropriate signs.   Visitors are requested to park in designated visitor spaces or in white-lined spaces. Parking spaces outlined in yellow are for faculty and staff. However, after 4 p.m., all parking lots are open to students and to visitors with passes, and you may park in either white-lined or yellow-lined spaces.

Metered Spaces
Metered visitor parking spaces are located in various campus locations, including:

  • Riegel Road
  • Lot K near Trask Coliseum
  • Lot D near Randall Library
  • Lot Q near Cultural Arts
  • Eaton Plaza
  • Bluethenthal Wildflower Preserve entrance

Visitors may put coins in the meters for up to two-hour visits ($.25 per 1/4 hour), or they may purchase an all-day parking pass for $4.00 from the visitor parking booth or from the Parking & Transportation office.

Metered spaces are intended primarily for casual visitors rather than invited departmental guests, admissions tour visitors, etc.

Visitor Parking Passes
When you arrive at the UNCW campus, you will need to obtain a visitor parking pass or use a parking meter. There is no charge for parking passes for Lot F. All-day passes for parking at other locations on campus may be purchased for $4.00. Visitor parking passes may be obtained in advance.

To Obtain a Visitor Parking Pass:

  • Go to the visitor information booth (located at the entrance to Visitor Parking Lot F) or to the Parking & Transportation office (located in the Warwick Center, Riegel Road entrance):
            Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
            Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

  • Go to University Police (located on Lionfish Drive)
          After hours and on weekends

Special Event Attendees
Additional visitor parking spaces may be designated for special events. When attending a special event on campus, please park in the area designated by the event information. If the event information does not designate a preferred parking area, please park in visitor parking areas noted above.

Parking Rules and Regulations for Visitors
If parents or any other visitors drive on campus in a student’s car, they need to abide by the rules governing the student’s permit. Citations will NOT be voided for any parent or visitor when driving a car registered on campus and not adhering to the rules governing that permit.

If parents or other visitors receive a parking ticket before they leave campus, they should complete the required information, sign the ticket, and return the ticket to Auxiliary Services. Visitors receiving a "no decal" citation have three options:

  1. Pay the citation as issued
  2. Appeal the citation (the appeal form is on the back of the citation)
  3. Pay the $4.00 daily parking pass rate
