A: Beginning
January 2008, direct deposit is required for all UNCW employees.
- New hire's first paycheck:
The
first paycheck for a new hire is picked up in the Payroll
Office, Hoggard Hall, Room 160.
- Undergraduate students:
Beginning January 2008, students
not on direct deposit will pick up their paychecks in the
Payroll Office, Hoggard Hall, Room 160. Completion of
direct deposit forms will be required at that time. Direct
deposit stubs will be emailed to “@uncw.edu” e-mail
address. Paychecks and direct deposit stubs
will no longer be mailed. Undeliverable
e-mails due to a full mailbox will not be resent nor printed.
- Graduate students:
Same as undergraduate students.
- SPA temporary employees:
Beginning
January 2008, employees not on direct deposit will pick up their
paychecks in the Payroll Office, Hoggard Hall, Room 160. Completion
of direct deposit forms will be required at that time. Direct
deposit stubs will be emailed to “@uncw.edu” e-mail
address. If an employee does not have a “@uncw.edu” e-mail
address, the direct deposit stub will be mailed to the employee’s
primary address. Paychecks
will no longer be mailed and direct deposit stubs will not be
mailed if the employee has an “@uncw.edu” e-mail
address. Undeliverable e-mails due
to a full mailbox will not be resent nor printed.
- Permanent faculty and staff employees:
- Direct deposit notification
will be e-mailed to you the day before payday to
your “@uncw.edu” email
address. Undeliverable
e-mails due to a full mailbox will not be resent nor printed.
- The new hire’s first paycheck is
picked up in the Payroll Office, Hoggard Hall, Room 160.
- Pending direct deposit verification, checks
are to be picked up in in the Payroll Office, Hoggard Hall,
Room 160.

A: If you need to change
your address, your name or your deductions:
Go to Human Resources on New Centre Drive if
you are a permanent employee, part-time faculty
or temporary employee.
Go to the Registrar's Office in James
Hall if you are an undergraduate student.
Go to the Graduate School in James
Hall if you are a graduate student.
If you need to change
your W-4, NC-4, or direct deposit information, come
to the Payroll Office and make that change.

A:
All UNCW employees
are required to use payroll direct deposit. This includes
SPA, EPA, undergraduate students, graduate students and temporary
employees.
