IV. Landscape Recommendations

Existing Character

The University organizes itself into nine distinct landscape zones (Refer to Landscape Zone Plan). These zones become the format for the Landscape Master Plan recommendations which are as follows:

1. The Entry Garden
2. Historic Core
3. Gardens for the Arts
4. Academic Core
5. Preserve
6. Recreation and Residence
7. Maintenance and Support
8. Conservation Area
9. Parking and Buffers

The format first presents the character of the zone, then recommendations to maintain and support this character. Lastly, maintenance issues are discussed and a recommended plant palette is presented.
