RE: Incident Involving a Firearm
At approximately 9:30 P.M. on Feb. 13, UNCW Police initiated a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle as it was traveling on UNCW Property. The occupants of the vehicle admitted to being in the vehicle earlier today and exchanging words with another motorist. However, their version of what occurred was different than what was reported to the police department earlier.
Two individuals were trepassed from UNCW Property. No firearm was located.
Due to registration and insurance violations, the vehicle was towed from UNCW Property.

RE: Incident Involving a Firearm
At approximately 2:26 P.M. today, Wed. Feb. 13 the following incident was reported to UNCW Police.
A 26 year old woman reported that an individual got out of the vehicle she was stopped behind at the intersection of South College Road and Randall Parkway and pointed a handgun at her. The victim followed the car onto campus to Wagoner Dining Hall. The suspect and two other individuals exited the vehicle. The victim called 911 and left the area.
Officers immediately responded to Wagoner Dining Hall and areas in close proximity to Wagoner Dining Hall and searched for the suspects. Officers were unable to locate the suspect or the vehicle.
Other law enforcement agencies in the area have been alerted.
The vehicle was described as a white in color Pontiac Grand Am with temporary NC license plate 15990545. The car is reported to have a spoiler on it and at the time of the incident was occupied by three black males. No further information is available regarding the suspects. This appears to be an incident of road rage.
