Description:   Phase I, Seahawk Village, is comprised of six (6) apartment buildings and a club house with swimming pool. The complex will be constructed in the Neo-Georgian architectural style. There will be a mix of 2,3, and 4 bedroom apartments with a total of (524) beds. The apartments will be fully furnished and will be provided with wireless internet, cable TV, and local telephone service. They will feature a full service kitchen and washer and dryer in each apartment.

Purpose:

One element of the Strategic Plan of the University is to provide on campus housing for 40% of our undergraduate students. Currently we are able to provide housing for only 23%. The privatized student housing program will add more than 1100 beds to the University housing inventory, and will help in meeting this strategic goal. The program is comprised of two phases. Phase I is currently under construction. Construction of Phase II is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2006.

Estimated Completion Date: Phase I - June, 2006 --- Phase II - June, 2007
