The vice chancellor for business affairs is the chief business and financial officer for the campus.

As the head of the Business Affairs Division, the vice chancellor is responsible for procurement, financial affairs, physical resources, capital management, security and safety services, auxiliary services, building management and construction and a variety of other administrative business functions.

The vice chancellor is a liaison to the Business Affairs Committee of the board of trustees, the endowment board of trustees and treasurer of the University Foundation.

The vice chancellor supervises the associate vice chancellors for finance, facilities and business and support services.
