American Heart Association’s 2013 Competence in Aging Award
Dr. Barbara J. Lutz, McNeill Distinguished Professor of Nursing will be awarded the prestigious American Heart Association’s 2013 Competence in Aging Award from the Cardiovascular Nursing Council. This award recognizes a nursing professional who has distinguished herself in promoting competence in caring for the elderly cardiovascular or stroke patient.
As the honoree, Dr. Lutz will receive an honorarium, complementary registration to the 2013 Scientific sessions and will be recognized in Dallas, Texas on November 19th through the presentation of an engraved plaque at an honoree’s banquet.
Previously at the University of Florida, Dr. Lutz joined the faculty of the School of Nursing, in the College of Health and Human Services this fall. We are so pleased to have her as a colleague and know that this award will only be the first among many great things she will accomplish here.
