Graduate Research Assistant, July 1994-May 1995, University of North
Carolina at Wilmington, Department of Biological Sciences. Water quality analyses
including water chemistry, physical parameters using multi-parameter water quality probe,
fecal coliform bacteriology and field sampling. Performed nutrient limitation bioassays,
phytoplankton identification, data compilation, and supervised an undergraduate assistant
for the New Hanover County Tidal Creeks Project and The Cape Fear River Project.
Part-time Instructor, May 1994-Present, Carolina Ocean Studies, Carolina Beach,
NC. Lead estuarine and offshore marine education field trips for high school and middle
school students.
