DESCRIPTION |
The DF-1000 side scan sonar system provides
high-resolution sonar images of the seafloor through advanced
digital technology. It is designed to smoothly integrate to other
underwater sensors.
The DF-1000 sets the industry standard for
seafloor mapping by integrating key performance and safety
features, including Edge Tech's patented Saf-T-Link® Recovery
System, a magnetic heading sensor, |
and an optional acoustic responder and depth
sensor for accurate towfish positioning.
The most important feature of the DF-1000 is
that sonar signals are digitized in the towfish, so there is no
los of data over long cable lengths. 500 kHz data over 3000 meters
of tow cable looks as clear and crisp as data received over a 50
meter cable. |
