UNDERGADUATE APPLICATIONS: When applying to one of UNCW's Distance Education programs, your first step in the application process will be to create an account on UNCW's application portal SeaLevel. Your SeaLevel account allows you to:
- Create your profile and access UNCW's online undergraduate application
- Receive admissions material
- Receive important messages regarding you application status
- When submitting your application, be sure to mark the "Extension" box and indicate which Extension Site you will be applying to.
All applications for the UNCW Distance Education are processed through the UNCW Wilmington campus, please have all transcripts from high school and any other college you have attended sent to the following address

GRADUATE APPLICATIONS: To apply for UNCW Distance Education graduate programs you will need to create an account through the UNCW Graduate School application portal. Program deadlines and specific application requirements are established by the individual program. Paper Application
UNCW no longer prints any copies of any paper application. However, students interested in applying via a paper application may do so by printing their own copy from the PDF documents below.
Application Fees
The application fee is $60.00, non-refundable and applies to all civilian students with the exception of summer visiting. The $60.00 application fee is WAIVED for ACTIVE DUTY military applicants only. Active Duty Military and Veterans admissions information can be found by visiting the Military Admissions page.
Residency

If you are active duty military or military dependant and you do not qualify as a resident for tuition purposes, you may still be eligible for the Military Tuition Benefit. Under this special North Carolina statute, members of the armed services stationed in North Carolina on active duty and their military dependents may be eligible to pay a reduced tuition rate which is equivalent to the in-state tuition rate.
You must file a special application (Military Residency Form) for the benefit that includes an affidavit on official letterhead confirming active military status and duty station and military dependent status if applicable (Confirmation of Command Residency Letter).
