2008 Summer Camp Registration is now open!
It's never too early to sign up for summer camp. This summer MarineQuest will be offering several new camps. Sea Safari is our new half-day camp for 6-7 year olds. Shore Shots is our new camp for 12-13 year olds interested in documenting issues related to the marine environment. Gulf Stream is a one week commuter version of last year's highly successful two-week residential Camp OCEANS.
We still have availability for Spring School Programs
MarineQuest invites your school to participate in our half-day, full-day, extended-day, or multi-day educational field experiences. Visit us at the Center for Marine Science or schedule MarineQuest to come to your school.
New Weekend Programming
Your children don't have to wait until summer to enjoy MarineQuest. Sign them up for one or more of our Saturday Morning Marine Explorers. Currently we offer programs for children ages 6-9 one Saturday each month.
Who's New at MarineQuest?
Jeremy Burnett is our new Program Coordinator. Although Jeremy comes to us from the mountains of North Carolina, he loves the coast! Jeremy has a background in environmental education and business. Jeremy is developing new programs for us including some that families will be able to enjoy together.
Courntey Pickett is our new Program Assistant. Courtney just completed her first summer as the MarineQuest camp director. She currently is working with Jeremy to provide our school programming. Courtney has a background in oceanography and natural history and is also pursuing her graduate studies in coastal management.
What's New at MarineQuest?
This summer we introduced our newest camp for 15-16 year old marine science enthusiast. Camp OCEANS explored different marine scientific careers and their use of technology.
