The Division for Public Service and Continuing Studies has the goal of facilitating the engagement of faculty members and students in scholarly activities that include teaching, service and research within the eight county region for the purposes of identifying, learning about, and working with citizens to solve regional problems.
Strategies to accomplish this include the organizing of faculty/community teams around specific themes such as nonprofit capacity-building, support of the Wilmington Housing Athority residents, and obesity and violence prevention.
