A committee of your colleagues has planned several events and celebrations in your honor, and I encourage you to visit www.uncw.edu/eaw to see the schedule and to register for activities, including a family cookout on Sunday, Oct. 2 and a campus luncheon on Friday, Oct. 7.

This year’s theme – “Diving into New Opportunities to Reach Greater Heights” – connects UNCW’s past accomplishments to its future dreams. To continue soaring, we must jump into new pools of innovation and entrepreneurship. I have no doubt that you are up to that challenge. You are UNCW’s greatest asset, and I appreciate the experience and dedication you bring to our campus each day.
