Dear UNCW Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure for me to invite you to participate in Employee Appreciation Week, September 27th- October 3rd. A committee of your colleagues has planned several events and celebrations in your honor, and I encourage you to view the schedule of events and to register for activities, including a family cookout on Sunday, Sept. 30th.

This year’s theme – “We Are UNCW” Days to Applaud & Recognize Employees – connects UNCW’s employees to its Dare to Soar into the future. To take the dare, we must commit to the journey of learning, affirm our love of place and embrace ideas and innovation.

I have no doubt that you are up to that challenge. You are UNCW’s greatest asset, and I appreciate the experience and dedication you bring to our campus each day. By making our students and their academic experience your top priority, you’ve created a dynamic university. I am honored to serve as UNCW’s chancellor and, with faculty and staff like you on our campus, I’m very optimistic about the university’s future.
