Students wishing to combine their concentration with a minor must declare their minor through the Registrar’s Office. Courses required for the minor will count towards the Academic Concentration; however, a total of 24 hours must be completed (even if the minor requirements are less than 24 hours). Minors are not available in all concentration areas.
Middle Grades Academic Concentrations & Additional Teaching Fields:
The specific courses for each area can be found by clicking on each link. A minimum of 24 hours is required in the Academic Concentration. The Additional Teaching Field must be in an area different from the Academic Concentration. A minimum of 18 hours is required in the Additional Teaching Field.
