The Watson College of Education Outreach Liaison provides ongoing collaborative initiatives with community stakeholders and other educational partners to promote academic connections and professional growth, community awareness and student support services to Watson College of Education and other educators in Southeastern North Carolina.
Essential functions:
- Develop, coordinate and implement innovative connections for UNCW faculty and staff via programs such as: Meet the Community Non-profits, diversity programs and conferences , updates from the North Carolina Department of Instruction and civic engagement with community organizations such as Gregory Elementary afterschool mentoring program.
- Innovative Partnership connections with Southeast Educational Alliance to bring Educational leadership and professional growth and development opportunities to Watson College of Education Faculty and staff and our PDS Partnership Teachers. Conferences included but not limited to; The Leadership and Learning Center Series: Administrative Leadership ,The Data leader, The Standard Common Core leader and Supporting New Teachers’ Success.
- Additionally, Teaching with Poverty in Mind Conference with Eric Jensen and the Helping District Leaders Prepare for the SMARTER Balanced Assessment With Sue Gendron.
