Fast Facts about Fast Track
Fast Track Student Population:
- In the Spring semester of 2008 there were 155 students who were on the Fast Track to their teaching degree.
- Forty-eight of those students graduated last May from the Watson School of Education.
Accessibility Statistics: (As compared to Fall 2007 classes offered)
- Due to programs like Fast track, the Watson School of Education increased the number of classes offered in the Fall of 2008 by 18%.
- The number of online classes offered increased by 40% in the Fall of 2008.
- The number of extension classes offered by the Watson School of Education increased by 35% (From 23 to 31)
- In the Fall of 2008 72 WSE classes are offered to students at night, online or by extension program. That number has increased by 16% from the Fall of 2007.
Money Saved:
- An incoming freshman who completes the Elementary Education Fast Track program will save an estimated $20,018.25 in tuition and housing costs.
- A transfer student with their Associates degree who follows the Fast Track program will save $4,176.50 in tuition and estimated transportation costs.
