On behalf of the faculty members in the Department of Instructional Technology, Foundations, & Secondary Education, I thank you for taking the time to review our website. Our department houses a number of different programs which prepare students for work in schools or corporate settings.
We have a diverse group of faculty from different ethnic, religious, and ideological backgrounds. This diversity allows us to embrace multiple perspectives, to work together across those differences, and, perhaps most important, it inspires creativity.
We are deeply committed to our students, engaged in the community, and advocates for education as a profession. Though we are keenly aware of the challenges facing education, we trust that, despite these challenges, we can provide powerful learning experiences for our students. To this end, our faculty members are dedicated teachers and active researchers.
Since 2009 faculty members in our department have received $3,229,285.00 in external grant funding. This funding has allowed us to strengthen our teaching, research, and community engagement. It speaks to the incredible commitment we have to providing high quality, rigorous academic programs that have a positive impact on the community.
If you are a prospective student, we hope that you take time to learn more about our programs. Should you choose to pursue teaching as an undergraduate or enroll in one of our graduate programs, we are here to help you make an informed decision. We believe we have outstanding programs and that our students are at the heart of these programs.
