Welcome to Session Nine!

Preparation for Dissemination to School Audience:

Acquired Effective Instructional Practices

Congratulations on finishing the first 8 content modules of the Spring Session!  Now is your opportunity to share with your faculty, department or other audience and celebrate your personal growth as an Empowered Educator.

During this session you will meet as a group and devise a presentation plan.  You may present in any format, the goal is to share your accomplishments and promote further collaboration opportunities with your current and future study group members.

Application for Dissemination: NCQUEST Acquired Effective Instructional Practices

The grant experiences and accomplishments over the entire school year could be incorporated in your presentation.  Teams of study group members could present together by content area, grade level or overall study group.  You have a 6-8 week window to accomplish this planning and dissemination application (April7-June 15).

Here are some possible ideas for your presentation:

I.       Streaming multimedia presentation showing Acquired Effective Instructional Practices to use now and with an audience for a future meeting, i.e., beginning teachers, parent group, school website, etc.

II.    Physical presentation sharing Acquired Effective Instructional Practices to an audience.

III. Design a professional development opportunity for your staff modeling specific strategies used to promote success in a 21st Century Classroom.

IV.  Create a proposal/plan to implement school based study groups laying out the roles, responsibilities and benefits of staff members for such an initiative to share with your principal and school improvement/leadership team.

V.     Other ideas that you generate as a professional learning team/study group.

Post your study group plan including the date of your dissemination:

Once your study group creates a plan, please have one group member post your plan and the date of your Dissemination of Acquired Effective Instructional Practices.

Hopefully, we will be able to attend some of these events.
